taken with his dad during his childhood. It is also a stone’s throw away from his dad’s resting place, so he was able to go and see him on his wedding day.” The couple chose a green, gold and blush pink theme. “Our table names were based on the festivals and memorable music venues that we have enjoyed together during our relationship,” Liv tells us. “As the table plan, we had funny photographs of our guests printed on polaroids for them to stick into our guest book later on in the night – or keep if they wanted. The gold acrylic place names, which matched our theme were also offered for everyone to take home.” The couple chose relaxed flower arrangements in golden bowls with plenty of greenery as their centrepieces. “The flower varieties included stock, white peonies, garden roses and sweet peas among others,” Liv tells us. “We had a beautiful moon gate arch and aisle meadows displayed during our reception. The natural setting was brimming with beautiful flowers anyway, so we didn’t need many other flower arrangements, and our pretty stationery was designed by my best friend and bridesmaid.” The couple treated their guests to Jaegerbombs as favours to toast as they walked into their wedding breakfast. “My nan was cheered on by the entire wedding party to down hers!” Liv says. “We also had his and her cocktails during our drinks reception, a doughnut wall and ham and cheese toasties as a midnight snack. Our cake was homemade by a family friend and tasted delicious. It was a semi-naked, white chocolate buttercream three-tier design with three different flavours. These included chocolate orange, Victoria sponge plus lemon and blueberry. LOOKING THE PART Liv wore the wedding dress called Fernanda by Pronovias teamed with a cathedral-length lace veil. “I wanted a lace gown in a fit-and-flare style with an exposed back but after trying on ten different dresses, I realised that I wanted something classic and timeless with a hint of modernity which Fernanda offered,” she tells us. “I loved the neckline along with the corset panel and side cutaways which added a little something extra. I teamed this with a pair of pearl drop earrings and elegant pearl hair accessories.” Louis chose a tuxedo worn with a dress shirt with black buttons, a larger bow tie than the groomsmen plus a pair of blush pink socks to tie in with the wedding theme. “Our groomsmen also wore tuxedo suits with matching shoes to mine,” he tells us. The couple’s bridesmaids were dressed in multiway dresses in shades of emerald green teamed with pearl drop earrings. TIME TO CELEBRATE Liv and Louis had an audiobook, a beer pong table and mini golf during their drinks reception with LED glow sticks, flip flops for guests for dancing and a 360 booth for their reception. “We did a sparkler run which was amazing,” they said. “Our good friend was the DJ during our drinks reception and we hired a live band to perform during the evening reception playing early indie songs with a drum and bass hour provided by our friends from midnight until 1 am.” “I had a cardboard cut-out of my dad at our ceremony.” - Louis 47 REAL WEDDINGS
