“Everyone got up to dance the night away. Having our loved ones in one room to celebrate with us was amazing. Our first dance was a memorable moment, and so was enjoying the delicious catering.” Charlotte and Aaron chose a bright purple and white colour theme to style their special day with. “Our families and close friends came to the venue for the entire day beforehand to help set up and make sure everything was in place,” Charlotte tells us. “Aaron’s mum designed the table layout, the large hanging decorations and the wonderful flower arch which looked stunning.” Charlotte’s bouquet contained a mix of purple and white blooms while the bridesmaids carried white posies. “Our close family friend Sarah made the gorgeous floral arrangements for the church which were then transported to the venue,” she tells us. “Our table plan featured a watercolour of Hogwarts and the Hogwarts Express which was designed and created by another friend, Johanna and our favours were packets of customised Love Hearts sweets from Swizzels. We had large bowls of pick ‘n’ mix sweets and cute striped paper bags set on top of board games as our centrepieces because I love sweets and Aaron loves games.” The couple’s friend Johanna also designed the Harry Potter-themed place and table names. “We had a wedding day bingo game that we used to break the ice so that our guests could get to know each other,” Charlotte tells us. Another friend made Charlotte and Aaron’s three-tier cake consisting of different flavours and they decided to have their big-day catering served from a Mexican food truck. “They served delicious burritos and nachos which everyone loved,” Charlotte tells us.”We also had Mexican canapés followed by a charcuterie selection during the evening reception.” LOOKING THE PART Charlotte wore a Great Gatsby-style figure-hugging dress teamed with a skirt over the top providing a long train for the church ceremony. “I removed this for our evening reception and accessorized it with a pair of pearl-drop earrings and a pearl bracelet,” she tells us. Aaron chose a light grey, three-piece suit teamed with a lilac cravat and white rose buttonhole. “My best man wore the same three-piece suit with a smaller buttonhole and a lilac tie while our groomsmen had two-piece light-grey suits teamed with lilac ties,” Arron describes. “The lilac bridesmaids’ dresses tied in with this colour theme, and they all differed in style which they all picked themselves.” TIME TO CELEBRATE Along with the wedding day bingo, there were a few other games dotted around the hall for guests to enjoy and during the evening, the incredible OJ’s Soul band put on a great performance! “Our groomsmen and bridesmaids went above and beyond for us! They sorted anything that needed doing and just made everything happen.” - Charlotte and Aaron “We hired a classic creamVW campervan for our wedding day transport which we loved.” - Charlotte and Aaron 45 REAL WEDDINGS
