When I did my dress reveal to my bridesmaids, only my mum and sister had seen the dress. I kept it a secret from the rest of my bridesmaids so the reveal was a very emotional moment for me. The surprise on their faces made it worthwhile! I realised at that moment how difficult it was going to be to hold back my tears throughout the day – nevertheless, I managed it! The rooms were just what we wanted, they were bright and beautifully decorated. The entire venue was perfect for our dusky blue and gold theme! “Our chosen venue is a golf course too which is one of Alex’s hobbies. He treated himself and his groomsmen to a round of golf the day before our wedding.” - Samantha We loved the setting of De Vere Wokefield Estate. Alex loves cars so this was an important part! His special request was to be chauffeured in a GTR which was purple! Walking down the aisle and seeing Alex at the end of it was a wonderful moment, I wasn’t worried about anyone else looking at me, I could only see him. We didn’t realise how much the songs played during our ceremony would make us emotional, even now when we hear them we get a lump in our throats. We both felt nervous and emotional during the ceremony. While I managed to hold back the tears, Alex did have a few as I walked down the aisle. 38
