Lois and Kieran met through a mutual friend in 2016. Following a few years of dating, under the warm Milan sun, Kieran popped the question. The ring, specially designed by Kieran, fitted perfectly! Delighted, they celebrated their engagement with Champagne, followed by an evening out at a gorgeous Italian restaurant. Wedding planning commenced and Lois and Kieran Handford said their vows on 11th April 2024 at Braxted Park Estate. SETTING THE SCENE After a traditional wedding with a countryside feel, they viewed Braxted Park Estate, and we felt it was perfect for a spring wedding. Lois tells us, “The orangery was beautiful letting in so much light with the big windows and I loved the fact the bridal suite was attached so I didn’t have to walk too far - plus it wouldn’t be an issue for me if it was raining! We fell in love with the grounds and thought the gardens were perfect for our drink’s reception. We loved the feel we got driving down the incredible driveway to Braxted - everything we wanted was met and all of the flowers blooming and the lambs in the fields really set the scene for a perfect spring wedding.” The colour scheme was very fresh; lots of whites, with flecks of gold detailing throughout. The centrepieces were beautiful white floral pomanders in large glass vases with tealight candles scattered round. The bridal bouquet was snow-white avalanche roses with gypsophilia at the bottom, and the bridesmaids had a smaller version of this – stunning!
