HOT TOPIC Our local experts solve your wedding dilemmas FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY What are your suggestions for creative nighttime shots? Below are my top tips to ensure your night photos are wall-worthy and pack a punch that’ll wow your family and friends! Don’t wait for it to get too dark, we call them night shots, but blue hour (just after golden hour) really is the best time for these. With that added blue in the sky, you have more detail and interest in the shot. Waiting for it to be completely dark, is much more difficult to capture the atmosphere. Rain looks super pretty with a flash popped behind it, lighting it up. Don’t be afraid to get a little wet to get an epic shot at the end of the night! Your venue can look amazing at night, and I recommend a pre-wedding visit at nighttime during the season of your wedding if you can, so you can imagine what your venue will look like at night, this could be another fantastic opportunity to showcase your wedding and your venue in a stunning night shot! Ask your photographer if they’re able to do night shots, not all photographer’s take these photos, so if they’re something you want, make sure you hire a pro who has examples in their portfolio. Finally, consider the time of year of your wedding, it’ll get darker much earlier in the winter and much later in the summer! Yes, in the event of a valid claim the policy covers all proven payments and deposits that you’ve paid to your wedding suppliers. Wedding insurance can be purchased up to a maximum of 30 months before the big day and a minimum of one month before the date, and so the best time to take out wedding insurance is as soon as you’ve paid for any part of the event and you have a date and venue locked down. Wedinsure offers 10 levels of wedding insurance cover ranging from £6,000 up to £100,000, with prices starting from as little as £38.99. And whilst everyone expects their day to go without a hitch, sometimes things can, and do, go wrong and it can leave you significantly out of pocket when it does. Which is where wedding insurance comes in. It provides financial protection for cancellation and rearrangement, financial failure of wedding services suppliers, personal liability, damage or theft of ceremonial attire, wedding gifts, wedding rings, photography … and more. Get covered for your big day. Mark Brown | Wedinsure https://wedinsure.co.uk LNZ Photo & Film 89 ASK THE EXPERTS
