An Essex Wedding - November/December 2024 (Issue 119)

Mike made our own bar with help from our lovely friend Josh and repurposed a Welsh dresser to hang the optics. On the day we’d booked a mixologist and bar staff who made some yummy cocktails for our guests. We also made a ‘gentleman’s table’ with a barrel table, bar stools, cigars and posh whisky, rum and tequila. It went down very well! The bridesmaids wore a mixture of navy and yellow. The colours really made the sunflower bouquets pop. It was important for them to choose their own gowns and feel super comfortable and lovely on the day. My dress was from White Reflections in Norwich. I wanted a boho style - something a bit different. The dress was named Rylee by Rish and I teamed it with cowboy boots and hoop earrings! Catering was by Knowing Meat Knowing You - a husband-and-wife duo. They served up posh burgers with rustic fries. The evening food was mac and cheese balls, halloumi fries and ham and cheese croquets. Mike and his ushers wore an oat-coloured linen two piece from Anthony Menswear. They were worn with open collars and homemade buttonholes. 39 REAL WEDDINGS
