Alice made her a super cute short and top combo, so she was very comfortable and happy (especially as she could cartwheel in it).” TIME TO CELEBRATE The couple hired a solo singer, Laura Wyatt, who played guitar and sang while the guests arrived and during the ceremony. They also had a live band and a photobooth which was provided by Day and Knight Photography – which led to lots of dancing and many funny photos. MEMORABLE MOMENTS Tom is a big fan of Death Metal, so as a surprise Natalie added a few extra touches to the day as she explains... “I decorated the chapel at the priory with red roses, disco balls and pillar candles and put on a metal playlist. I designed three cakes: one shaped as a black coffin that said, ‘Til Death’, One red love heart which said, ‘True Love’ and one white circular cake with disco balls that said, ‘Let’s dance’, I also set up a transfer tattoo station and had a caricaturist come along. After the ceremony, I went to the ‘Death Chapel’ and changed into different jewellery (which was my grandmothers), a black veil and black gloves. My niece then went to get Tom and he came to the chapel for the surprise. We had some time to ourselves with some canapés and bubbles and then joined everyone back in the sunken garden for the reception.” Natalie adds, “After dinner, we all went to the chapel and I did a speech, we cut the cake and then guests could have tea and coffee, with their cake and a tattoo/ caricature. Tom was so surprised, and all the guests loved getting their face tattoos for the day. The caricaturist was a real hit and had a long queue, he stuck around post the first dance also!” REAL WEDDINGS 33
