An Essex Wedding - May/June 2024 (Issue 116)

After the ceremony, I felt overwhelmed which was surprising and needed 10 minutes with Rob to compose myself. Rob was nervous and had a few vodkas before the ceremony as he didn’t sleep the night before and needed to take the edge off which was funny as he isn’t a big drinker. For the reception drinks and dinner, I booked a jazz and soul singer, Songbird Sammi, who I’d heard and fell in love with her voice at a sound bath ceremony I attended. We love cheese and biscuits and aren’t big cake people, so we opted for a Cheese Tower Cake from Beau Fromage We opted for a relaxed, informal dinner with no table plan or place settings and opted for sharing bowl food which everyone loved and still talks about! Rob wanted a traditional look. He loves navy and wanted to go with an amazing tailor in our town called Jack Bunneys. REAL WEDDINGS 49
