When we first viewed Apton Hall, we knew it was the one. The location, the rustic feel, the décor and the food were just right. Tony and the groomsmen wanted the same style suit, so we approached Slater Menswear in Chelmsford. They recommended a deep blue three-piece tailored fit wedding suit from their Sawyers & Hendricks collection. It was the perfect venue for our intimate ceremony with family and close friends, followed by a party into the night with our evening guests! I found ‘the dress’ in Serena Bridal, in Wickford. The dress was made by Romantica of Devon, called Moire. My make-up artist and hair stylist really helped on the morning. We laughed a lot which distracted me and put me at ease. We woke up and saw each other on the morning of the wedding day as we still had to do our normal morning routine for Layla before heading to the venue to get ready. We feel that helped take the edge off a bit as you didn’t have that extra pressure and buildup of not seeing each other before the wedding. 44
