The main entrance to the venue is impressive, and perfect to park that wedding car for amazing photo opportunities. This 17th century Essex Barn is full of character and charm, with open beams. Family owned and run for 50 years, with exceptional food and service, it’s simply perfect to celebrate your marriage. Time to celebrate The Thatched Barn has a large and private garden, with a fully stocked outside bar. The rustic church pews and thatched cart house are known as the ‘Church without a Roof’. The ceremony can also be held indoors if the weather isn’t suitable. Ceremonies can take place in the garden, where the maximum is 140 guests, or in the Barn where a maximum of 130 guests is possible. For your reception, The Essex Barn can seat between 40 and 140 guests for the wedding breakfast, and up to 200 for the evening informal party.
