The St. Regis Red Sea Resort has opened its new St. Regis Spa

Posted by Melissa Cullen on 26 March 2024

A building with a wooden roof and glass doors behind an outdoor swimming pool The St. Regis Red Sea Resort, the first private island to open in the Red Sea, offers guests an elegant spa that celebrates all that is natural and sensorial. Opened in January 2024, the spa features eight treatment rooms with gazebos and outdoor baths, private treatment cabins and male and female grooming salons.

The design of the spa pays homage to the natural beauty of Ummahat Island, featuring open windows, outdoor cabins and pavilions intended to bring the peace of the outside in.

The spa’s design features natural touches of sophistication throughout, with marine themes, a hand-hammered bronze counter and a tall macramé screen to welcome guests, complemented by walls covered in blue patterns resembling the corals from the Red Sea. The celebration bar incorporates glass chandeliers resembling jellyfish, while wave-like sofas sit in the lounge, evoking the gentle rhythm of ocean waves. The tile patterns gracing the floor in the thermal suites resemble sea shells, while shimmering blue mother-of-pearl finishes illuminate the thermal suite’s walls.

Embracing the environmental virtues of the Red Sea with the cultural legacy of Saudi Arabia and the trusted heritage of the St. Regis brand, the spa offers guests an array of revitalising treatments in surroundings that indulge the mind, body and spirit. Integral to each treatment is the stimulation of the five senses, bolstered by the use of sustainably sourced and precious ingredients supported by the latest technologies.

The spa at The St. Regis Red Sea also integrates sustainability into its offerings. Working with AMRA, the team has moved beyond recycled packaging and has delved further into the meticulous selection of upcycled ingredients, such as sourcing beautiful ribbon that was developed from sea plastic.

For a complete wellness journey, the resort has a variety of fitness and wellness activities, including a fully equipped gym, an outdoor lap pool and vitality pool, paddle and tennis courts and personal training sessions.
