New gin & gelato Italian summer experience at The Culloden Estate & Spa

Posted by Melissa Barker on 5 July 2022

New gin & gelato Italian summer experience Hastings Hotels’ five-star The Culloden Estate & Spa is bringing a taste of Italy to Northern Ireland this summer with the launch of its new outdoor experience, Gin and Gelato.

Guests can enjoy Ginato gin ice cream floats, wine, prosecco and draft beer from the bespoke timber bar installation in the comfort of a deck chair, located outside the Cultra Inn in the beautifully landscaped grounds of the five-star boutique hotel.

Ginato Gin is the world’s first Prinot Grigio Gin, capturing the very essence of Italy - effortlessly chic, timeless, and sunshine-drenched. The gin is distilled with the finest Italian grapes selected from the wine-growing regions of Friuli in the north of the country, juniper sourced from the rolling hills of Tuscany, and the citrus is picked from the sunny climate of southern Italy.

The Culloden Estate & Spa has teamed up with Drinksology creative studio to launch the Italian gin garden which offers lots of outdoor seating in the picturesque setting of the stunning twelve acres Estate grounds. With stunning countryside views, the forested slopes of the Holywood hills overlook the Belfast Lough and the glorious County Antrim coastline, providing a spectacular backdrop.

The Culloden Estate & Spa The thirst quenching beverages are complemented by Italian inspired cuisine, including sharing boards and small antipasti bowls, with a new menu launched each month. Putting a local twist on the Italian theme, a selection of gelato is available from Glastry Farm, the perfect treat on a Summer's day.

Niall Burns, the general manager of the Culloden Estate & Spa said: “We are delighted to bring a taste of Italy to the Culloden with Gin and Gelato - the ultimate summer experience. Guests can sit back and relax in luxurious surroundings whilst enjoying the magnifico selection of drinks and delizioso Italian themed menus using the very best of local produce.”

Standing in acres of beautiful secluded gardens and woodland, the palatial surroundings with fine antiques and the highest levels of personal service, combine to create a unique air of elegance. The boutique property boasts ninety-eight bright, spacious and individually decorated bedrooms and stunning suites that combine traditional comfort with every contemporary elegance.

The Gin and Gelato Break package includes luxurious overnight accommodation, a full Irish breakfast, a reserved table at a Gin & Gelato event, exclusive ESPA products, use of spa & health club facilities, luxury bathrobes & slippers, complimentary car parking, WIFI and Hastings Duck.
