London-based jeweller Susannah King has created a selection of colourful rings made using upcycled gemstones that she already had in her collection. They have gone viral on TikTok with videos reaching upwards of eight million views. More than £20,000 worth of rings were sold in under a minute as a result, with the affordable designs ranging from £300 to £1,000 per ring.
Launched live on her social channels, the 28 rings received more than 2,000 messages and were all purchased in less than 60 seconds, meaning the jeweller has had to plan another larger collection due to be released this winter. They make the ideal wedding or engagement ring for couples wanting something a bit different.
