VIMA Photography is a two-photographer team made up of Emily and Gemma. “Fuelled by iced coffee, van adventures and wild swimming, we adore photographing unique weddings,” shares Emily and Gemma. “Our mantra is the more colour, maximalist décor, boho vibes, festival feels and quirky couples, the better! We are both energetic characters and use maximum enthusiasm to capture the people, the details and the magic of your day with zero awkwardness. From getting ready to your first dance, we can be with you for all of the day or just a part of it. Our photography is rooted in colour, joy and creativity. Both based in Suffolk, we can usually be found in the abundance of stunning wedding venues the county has to offer as well as the rest of the UK and beyond. We are passionate about inclusivity and all LGBTQ+ couples, religious backgrounds and levels of ability will be given the full VIMA experience.”

Amie and Elise met when Elise joined the local women’s football team that Amie had set up. “We quickly hit it off and started hanging out at group outings with the team, enjoying each other’s company more and more,” says Amie. “As time went on, our friendship grew into something deeper, and before we knew it, our group outings turned into dates. One thing led to another, and we fell in love, beginning our beautiful journey together.”
Elise proposed during a family break in Abersoch, Wales. “All of my family had gathered to spend some quality time together,” shares Amie. “It was the first day with everyone together and we had spent time in the hot tub. Elise chose the perfect moment, waiting until the evening. I went outside onto the patio, which overlooks the beach, and was under a very starry sky. There were only us two there at that moment. Elise surprised me with a proposal, pulling the ring from a plant near her feet. I was completely taken aback, and as I stood there taking in the moment and Elise’s words, my family burst out from inside, cheering loudly in celebration. We celebrated together, and it couldn’t have been any more perfect; we cheered so much so that it resulted in a noise complaint, but that didn’t stop us from partying and celebrating our engagement.”

Nicola Tulip from Nicky’s Photography tells us about how this styled shoot came to be: “My moodboards had collections of bright and lively images that I felt would be perfect for a styled shoot. Full of gorgeous colour yet softened by textures. The dresses were from a designer of stunning one-off pieces that always photograph so well. The flowers were just stunning, with a mixture of colour and texture. For the models’ hair, we took inspiration from the 1920s, which was just stunning. I really wanted to capture fun and vibrance throughout, include current prop ideas and demonstrate the ultimate way to travel with fantastic transport.”

Michael Lundbeck from One Vision Photography explains the benefits of booking a photographer who also offers videography services.
"When planning a wedding, capturing the magic of your special day is paramount. One effective way to achieve this is by booking a supplier who offers both photography and videography services. This decision not only streamlines the process but also provides several benefits.
"Having a single team handle both photography and videography ensures seamless coordination on your wedding day. The team shares a unified vision, allowing them to work together smoothly. This collaboration ensures that every critical moment, from the exchange of vows to the first dance, is captured from multiple perspectives without missing a beat.
"A combined photography and videography package ensures a consistent style and aesthetic across your wedding memories. With the same creative team handling both mediums, your photos and videos will have a harmonious look and feel. This consistency enhances the overall narrative of your wedding day, creating a cohesive visual story.
"Opting for a combined service can also be more cost-effective. Many suppliers offer discounts when both services are booked together, providing excellent value for your investment. This option reduces the need to manage multiple vendors, saving time and effort."

Disney fans Daniel and George had the perfect day at Leez Priory – with a special pre-ceremony call from BBC Radio 2 host, Scott Mills.
The table décor matched the overall black and white aesthetic of the day with the theme for the Wedding Breakfast as 'BBC Radio 2'. The table plan board was tied into the idea of the 'Radio 2 Breakfast Show' with all the presenter names and guest locations detailed. The table names were all themed around BBC Radio 2 presenters including Claudia Winkleman, Zoe Ball, Rylan Clark, Sara Cox and so on. This theme was actually picked up upon by Radio 2 themselves and Daniel and George had 'pre-ceremony' vows live on air with Scott Mills! And more recently, they were invited live in the studio with Rylan and Scott to talk all about their day - eventually being dubbed 'THE Radio 2 Wedding'!

Molly and Chris met when they were both working at a racecourse. “We had a team-building day, at which point we had never met and were partnered against each other,” says Molly. “Sparks soon started flying, and we found out we are very competitive! A few months after dating, we travelled to New Zealand and Hong Kong in a van with a tent on top of it. Chris soon learnt my love of planning everything and I discovered Chris’ love of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc Wine! Everyone thought it was going to be a disaster trip, but it was the start of our amazing adventure in life together and we can’t wait to take our two boys back.”
Chris proposed in Saint Lucia while the couple were on a family holiday. “It was a complete surprise and totally magical,” shares the bride. “We drove around the island looking for waterfalls, and by the third attempt, with Chris becoming more agitated, we decided to settle for a beautiful beach, where he went down on one knee and asked me to marry him. What is so special is that he designed the ring with my uncle, who is a jeweller in Hatton Garden, London. He asked my mum for permission the night before, as she wouldn’t be able to keep a secret!”

Cassandra Lane is a Manchester-based wedding photographer. “I’m originally from the West Country, but I’ve lived in the Manchester and Cheshire area for several years now, and I love it,” shares Cassandra. “I’m definitely a city girl and I enjoy making the most of everything Manchester has to offer. When I’m not photographing weddings and portraits, you’ll find me hanging out with my cat Lizzo, playing tennis or bashing the drum kit I keep in my office! I’ve always loved capturing events and I used to shoot candid pictures all the time when I was a teenager. I went on to study to become a professional photographer at the University of Westminster and set up Cassandra Lane Photography in 2011. I shot my first ceremony and reception just before my husband and I got married. Having the experience of the engagement, wedding planning and being a bride got me started in the wedding industry. And it’s fair to say I’ve been hooked on wedding photos ever since!"

Hayley and Ed met while they were both working at an insurance company 10 years ago. “We reconnected several years later and have been inseparable since,” says Ed. “We share the same values, a laid-back approach to life and a love of animals.”
“I proposed to Hayley at Macquaries Point in Sydney, Australia, which has a beautiful view overlooking Sydney Harbour and the Opera House,” shares the groom. “Hayley lived in Australia for a few years and I knew it would be special to do it in a place that she holds dear. I asked her to pose for a photo against the backdrop and then dropped to one knee. Based on her shocked reaction and happy tears, I would say it was a big surprise.”
The couple shared their first coffee date at Oad St Weddings. “It used to be a tea room, so it holds great sentimental value for us,” explains Ed. “The venue is beautiful inside, with low lights and foliage and a contemporary deco-styled bar, so it felt perfect for our day. The surrounding area is quiet and picturesque, and the staff have always been so friendly whenever we have visited for meals over the years. Oad St Weddings was an easy choice for us once we were shown around by the wedding coordinators, Summer and Charley, and we were so glad that six years after that first coffee date, we were enjoying our first dance in almost the exact spot.”

Lauren and Rob met through work in 2015. “I thought he was really charming and we got on really well,” says Lauren. “Our relationship grew and in 2023, Rob proposed while we were in Cardiff. We went back to the first hotel that we stayed in together and I had no idea that he was going to pop the question. It caught me by complete surprise.”

Make-up artist, Lynsey Fordham, put together this styled shoot at Apton Hall. The vision combined cool, crisp whites alongside mellow sage greens. The outcome is perfectly timeless with such a relaxed vibe. I love this image taken by John Payton Photography. The décor & venue styling by Elf Occasions was absolutely stunning. The simplicity of the flowing fabrics and wild foliage is perfect.
