Adriana Herran tells us the latest hair and make-up trends for brides-to-be.
"As we look ahead to bridal beauty trends in 2025, we can expect to see a continuation of the natural-yet-modern aesthetic that has been popular in recent years. Brides are embracing dewy skin, minimalist eyeshadow, and neutral lipstick shades, but with a twist of modernity. I predict that in 2025, we will see brides playing with eyeliner techniques and daring to experiment with more captivating lipstick shades.
"Drawing inspiration from the latest runway shows in France, Italy, and the UK, we anticipate a focus on natural-looking skin with a pop of colour either in the eyes or lips. The trend of rosy cheeks and an overall healthy glow will continue to prevail, reflecting a fresh and radiant bridal beauty aesthetic.
"In terms of hair, modernity will be at its peak with sleek buns and intricate styles that complement a summer wedding look. These hairstyles will enhance the bride’s natural features and make-up, creating that coveted ‘it’ factor. Additionally, a touch of romanticism will be introduced through loose waves with centre parts, showcasing weightless, bouncy and healthy hair."

The team at The Bridal Boutique Crickhowell share their tips for choosing a stylish but warm wedding dress for a winter wedding.
"Winter weddings can be a magical and romantic affair, with festive decorations adding a touch of charm to the special day. If you’re a bride-to-be planning a winter wedding, you may be wondering how to stay stylish and warm at the same time. Here are some tips on how to wear a winter wedding dress that will keep you looking fabulous and feeling cosy on your big day:
"Choose the right fabric: When it comes to a winter wedding dress, the fabric you choose is key. Opt for heavier fabrics like satin, silk, or a luxury crepe that will keep you warm in the colder temperatures. These fabrics also have a luxurious look that is perfect for a winter wedding.
"Add layers: Layering is key when it comes to staying warm in the winter. Consider adding a faux fur stole, cape, or bolero to your wedding dress for some extra warmth and style. These accessories can also add a touch of elegance to your look. They are removable, so you can always lose them later if you start feeling warm or are hitting the dancefloor.
"Sparkle and shine: Winter weddings are the perfect occasion to add some sparkle and shine to your bridal look. Consider a dress with embellishments like sequins, beading, or crystals for a touch of glamour. These details will catch the light and add a magical touch to your winter wedding dress."

Sarah Nowak, the senior wedding and events coordinator at Shireburn Arms, put together this styled shoot for the venue’s spring wedding showcase. “I wanted to incorporate a lot of florals to complement our countryside setting,” says Sarah. “We have done a lot of rustic styles before, so I decided to go in a different direction. Taking inspiration from Bridgerton, I decided upon a Regency in spring time theme combining pastel tones of blue, green, pink, peach and yellow with gold accent metal. After finalising the styling, I knew that this was going to be beautiful, so we turned it into a styled shoot.
“All of the suppliers took the moodboard and brought it to life, from the floral wedding dress that showed off the concept with a modern twist to the delicate name cards and stationery,” continues Sarah. “To really create the Regency feel, we used lots of florals with meadows down the aisle and a beautiful garden arch, bringing that fresh spring feeling indoors. The flowers were used as a motif throughout the shoot to connect the images and create a full story. Sam from Popsicle Photography saw the inspiration and elevated it by picking out the perfect spots at the Shireburn Arms, which captured the theme perfectly.”

Charlie and Adam first started talking on a dating app. “We enjoyed our first date freezing outside of a restaurant at the end of the second COVID lockdown in April 2021,” says Charlie. “I was attracted to Adam’s aloof east London vibe and his love for houseplants.”
Adam popped the question in December 2022 on the Isle of Skye. “We decided to drive down to Coral Beach on the north of the island,” shares the bride. “It was a beautiful crisp sunny day with a blue sky and sun shining off the white coral beach. Adam came out of the sea after a swim in his full winter wetsuit gear (hood and gloves included) and spontaneously proposed on the beach. It was definitely a surprise; I think for both of us!”
